The three arrested railroad workers have been identified as section engineer Mohammad Amir Khan, technician Pappu Kumar, and senior section engineer Arun Kumar Mahanta.
The CBI took action after the Commissioner of Railway Safety presented a report on the terrible triple-train pile-up railway tragedy that occurred in Odisha on June 2 and resulted in over 290 fatalities and close to 1000 injuries.
