UPSC 2024 prelims exam postponed due to Lok Sabha Elections

UPSC 2024 prelims exam postponed due to the schedule of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

The exam was originally supposed to take place on May 26. On February 14, 2024, UPSC Notification 2024 was made available. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced on its website that it has chosen to move the civil services preliminary exam from May 26 to June 16. The new date of the preliminary exam is June 16, 2024.

“Due to the schedule of the impending General Election, the Commission has decided to postpone the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024 which also serves as screening test for Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024 from 26-05-2024 to 16-06-2024,” the commission said in a notification on its official website.

One of the hardest exams in India is the UPSC civil services examination. Every year, thousands of applicants enroll to take the exam in order to become IAS, IPS, and IFS. The UPSC 2024 notice for this year was made public on February 14 of last month.
